DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET contains Tramadol which belongs to the group of medicines
called Opioids. It is used in the management of moderate to severe pain (such as
sudden or long-standing pain like pain after an operation or after an injury) in
adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.
DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver
of kidney insufficiency, seizures (fits) which are not controlled by the
management, who have consumed alcohol, withdrawal symptoms due to addiction of
drugs or those have accidentally consumed extra dose of sleeping tablets,
antipsychotics, antidepressants or other pain killers (which can slow down the
breathing and reactions).
Before taking DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have mild to
moderate liver or kidney insufficiency, asthma or breathing trouble, recently
had a head injury or have a very bad headache that makes you sick, had
convulsions (fits) or suffer from epilepsy, have recently felt confused, sleepy
or fainted, are going to have any surgery (which requires anaesthesia), have
tendency to drug addiction or abuse and if you are addicted to morphine.
DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women and not more
than once or alternatively in breastfeeding women. DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET is not
recommended for use in children (below 12 years of age) and in children with
breathing problems. It should be cautiously used among elderly patients (aged 75
years and above).
The most common side effects of taking DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET are nausea,
vomiting, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Consult your doctor
if any of the side effects worsens.
DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET inhibits the reuptake of the natural neurotransmitters
(norepinephrine and serotonin) and binds weakly to certain receptors (μ-opioid),
blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain. Thus, it reduces
moderate to severe pain by acting on specific nerve cells of the spinal cord and
the brain.
Take DOLMUNDIN 200MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine
with a glass of water. You can take this medicine with or without food. Do not
crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and
